All artists in North Wales are encouraged to submit their artwork for display along the prominent 1B corridor in Ty Hywel. They are looking for various forms of 2D art; such as paintings, drawings and sketches (unfortunately they do not have space to display sculptures).
They keep their selection criteria broad and look for:
- work produced by Welsh artists or work that is relevant to and representative of Welsh culture;
- a high standard of artistic merit;
- artwork that support the National Assembly’s goals of promoting Wales, representing and engaging with the people of Wales, and using resources sustainably.
All work that is submitted will be considered by the Art Panel and the final decision rests with the relevant Commissioner. Please note that the Assembly cannot accept any liability for any damage to artwork displayed on the estate.
