What was supposed to be a common market and a trading area, has turned into a massive, unaccountable political union, full of flags, anthems, unelected commissioners and guess what?

There’s even an army on the way!

So in 2016 the people of Wales and indeed all over these islands voted to leave the EU.

I’m not particularly happy with the agreement that I voted for here in this Parliament, but Boris Johnson has been remarkably bold and has made some remarkable promises.

He’s promised there will be no level playing field, that our fishing waters will not be for sale, we will make our own laws, sign our own trade deals and spend our own money.

So, I wish him all the best in taking back control from Brussels and getting a free trade deal with our European friends and neighbours

We can’t make any more compromises and concessions. Boris Johnson needs to remember the voices of 17.4 million people all over the country who made it very clear they wanted to take back control and leave.

On Friday 31st January at 11pm we will leave and we are not coming back!

Here’s to a bright and prosperous future for our great country.
